2010 ligger an til å bli et godt år! Ny jobb i et relativt nytt firma med et hav av muligheter og utfordringer som står foran oss. Fra 1.1.2010 har jeg gått inn som Partner i Nexteq Advisory Group, et rådgivingsselskap innen teknologisk kompetanse og utvikling. Det er et velrenommért team med lang erfaring fra bransjen, og responsen fra markedet har vært svært god den første uken skal man dømme etter henvendelser per telefon og epost, og ikke minst besøk på websider og facebook.

Happy Holidays – an e-ChristmasCard

Happy Holidays! This year we seriously considered saving a fraction of a tree to send out an e-ChristmasCard rather than going through the “order-it-late, type-like-crazy and rush-to-the-postoffice” routine.
Then we realised that while technology has made some interesting advances this year, we still haven’t fully figured out how to make an e-ChristmasCard fit in our nice ChristmasCard bag next to the fireplace and most likely neither have you.. So the moral of the story seems to be that while we’ve got eBooks, digital music and movies, we’d better not mess with the Christmas card (or any other Christmas) tradition.
That still doesn’t rule out sending out this eCard-blog-post as an addition to the printed ones though – so Merry Christmas, and make sure to make it a fantastic New Year!!
Trial and Error..

Someone is just learning how to walk, and what better way than with a small push trolley to help keep the balance.
Now, the first attempt did not go quite as planned, as the darn thing would not move no matter how hard she pushed. (see picture)
Better get down, walk around, and try again to see if we have better luck second time around…
Yeah – that’s so much better – now we’re making some real progress along the floor
Home, sweet (new) home!

I guess it’s impossible for anyone even remotely familiar with us to have missed that we finally moved into our new home on Tuesday July 1st. Amazing to move into a new place and feel right at home already the first night.

Digestive Boarding Passes

Just sent the girls out West while I finish up the last week of work before the summer holidays. Julia takes after both parents and really likes traveling by airplane so no worries so far she’ll turn out to be an environmentalist… She needs to improve her work on not eating her boarding card though.. Next time I’m flying with them I’ll fill out one of those customer comment cards and suggest the introduction of digestive boarding passes and see if they follow through on their promise to address each suggestion individually… maybe…
She’s a happy camper though – almost to the point we’re worrying that some complete stranger will come up to us asking what we mix in her food
Nomad living

Nomad living – here we come, with nowhere to live for the next six weeks! The new owners took possession of the old apartment today, and we’re not even a tad sad to see it go! Can’t wait to move into the new place, and spending the waiting time at the summer house isn’t too bad either…

The good news is that the apartment is almost ready packed, waiting for the movers to pick everything up in the morning. The bad news is, at age 35, we’re back to living with my parents for a few weeks until the new house is ready. Great for Julia to spend some more time with her grandparents. Not so great to sleep on the couch for weeks while living out of a suitcase Greatly appreciate the hospitality though!
