Many GPX trails found online are outdated, created purely on digital maps, or both. One unfortunate example is the GPX tracks for the MASSIV adventure published by DNT—the Norwegian Trekking Association, which are wildly inaccurate in Breheimen. Outdated tracks can be frustrating, but they also pose serious risks. Navigating through fog or low visibility with inaccurate data can lead to dangerous situations.
The tracks I share below are the live GPX tracks recorded during my adventures. They were fully accurate when created. While I cannot guarantee they reflect recent route changes, they won’t lead you over cliffs or into waterfalls. These GPX files help you pace your efforts when paired with a sports watch. Correct elevation profiles and route details make it easier to manage energy reserves and avoid surprises.
